Bhopal, Sep 20 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra said on Monday that – despite the Congress President being a lady – a person accused of several grave offences against women has been elevated by that party as Punjab Chief Minister.
“A bureaucrat complained against him and even the State Commission for Women’s Chairperson called for action. There are other members of Scheduled Castes and one of them could have been selected. Mr Charanjit Singh Channi is known to toss a coin for taking decisions! Former chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh alleged that Mr Navjot Singh Sidhu is a threat to the country but with Mr Channi assuming the mantle, half of that state’s population is in danger,” Dr Mishra told the press here.
