Narendra Narayan Yadav 'unanimously' elected as Deputy Speaker of Bihar Assembly

Patna, Feb 23 (UNI) Senior JD (U) leader and former Minister Narendra Narayan Yadav was 'unanimously' elected as Deputy Speaker of Bihar Legislative Assembly.
Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav announced about the 'unanimous' election of Yadav for the post of the deputy speaker.
He was elected to the Bihar Legislative Assembly from Alamnagar in the 2020 election.
Congratulating Narendra Narayan Yadav for being elected as deputy speaker, Nand Kishor Yadav said that the house would be benefited with the experience of Narendra Narayan Yadav who has been a member of the house since 1995.
Being Minister, Yadav had served several important departments and also actively participated in the movements of the great socialist leader Karpoori Thakur.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also congratulated Yadav for his unanimous election to the post.
Earlier Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha proposed the name of Yadav for the post which was seconded by Minister Prem Kumar.
Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, RJD MLA Akhtarul Islam Shaheen, CPI ML MLA Mehboob Alam, Congress member Ajit Sharma and AIMIM member Akhtarul Iman congratulated Yadav for being elected unanimously.
Expressing his gratitude to the entire house including Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Ministers Vijay Kumar Sinha Samrat Chaudhary and other cabinet colleagues in Bihar Government, Yadav said that he would give equal importance to both ruling and opposition in the house.
He appealed to the members to make the debates on various issues more constructive in the interest of the common people.
On Wednesday last, Maheshwar Hazari had resigned as Deputy Speaker of the Assembly.
