Patna, Feb 22 (UNI) Senior JD(U) leader and former Minister Narendra Narayan Yadav on Thursday filed his nomination for the post of deputy speaker of Bihar Legislative Assembly.
Accompanied by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha and other senior ministers along with several leaders of NDA, Yadav filed his nomination paper before the Assembly secretary on Thursday.
As it is Deputy Speaker of Bihar Legislative Assembly Maheshwar Hajari had resigned from his post on Wednesday.
The election for the post of deputy speaker will be held on Friday February 23 and the candidates had to file their paper before noon on Thursday.
