Narayan Seva Sansthan organises 'International Award Ceremony' to felicitate those who served 'differently abled'

New Delhi, May 29 (UNI) Narayan Seva Sansthan, a non-profit organisation, has organised the ‘International Award Ceremony 2018’ to felicitate the contribution of donors who have supported the NGO in its motivational journey of serving the ‘differently abled’ individuals.

The award ceremony was a gala event with renowned Bollywood actress Sharmila Tagore and television star Dilip Joshi, in presence of the president of Narayan Seva Sansthan Prashant Agarwal.

The awards were conferred in various categories -- platinum, diamond, gold, silver and bronze -- to over 100s of donors from all across the globe, who have supported in transforming lives of 15,000 ‘differently abled’ waitlisted patients.

Addressing to the audience, Sharmila Tagore said, “Disability is less physical and more mental, we should not consider it as the curse in the society. Narayan Seva Sansthan is among those non-profit organisations which is not only providing free medical support but rehabilitating and bringing differently abled people by curing and showing them the opportunities available for them. I am touched by seeing the donors’ support in this initiative of Narayana Seva Sansthan.”

Mr Agarwal said, “Narayan Sansthan is a smart village with all the facilities for those physically incapable who feel deprived in any way, at any stage of life. The NGO has operated upon over 3.5 lakh patients in last 30 years and has provided them full socio-economic support by availing best of the medical services, medicines, and technology for free. We have not kept any cash counter in our Smart Village for anything that anyone is in need of. We feel proud that both our hospitals function with a team of 125 doctors and nursing staff, who are operating about 95 patients daily and servicing the humanity.”

Narayan Seva Sansthan has a 1,100-bedded hospital facility, which not only cures the differently abled but also provides them socio-economic rehabilitation.

The NGO is the hope of patients suffering from polio, Cerebral Palsy and Lymphatic Filariasis from India, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Ukraine, UK and the US.
