Nalvadi Krishnadatta Wadiyar's tenure was golden era- Yaduveer

Mysuru, Jun 4(UNI) Titular king of Mysuru, Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar paid floral tributes to Nalvadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar at in Mysuru Palace on the occasion of his136th birth anniversary, on Thursday.
"We are organising a small event in the palace to mark the birth anniversary of Nalavdi. His governance is known as the golden era of Mysuru. My wish to see that golden era of prosperity again", he told mediapersons here.
On the demand of construction of Nalavadi’s statue in Krishnaraja Sagar Reservoir (KRS), he said that his opinion would be the same as of Ms Pramoda Devi Wadiyar.
He said at present coronavirus pandemic has affected entire world. Such a phenomenon happens once in a century. We have tried to overcome corona virus pandemic by implementing lockdown. We may succeed in our fight against virus if we follow what we have been following against such pandemic, he added.
Nalwadi as a ruler focused on social justice and gave importance to education, health, religious, cultural activities and art. He also brought in reforms by introducing reservations for the Backward Classes and Dalits.

Kakinada, Jul 12 (UNI) On receiving alert message on Sunday from Indian Coast Guard regional Headquarters over presence of a Sri Lankan fishing vessel in Indian Waters in Bay of Bengal off Kakinada coast, the Coast Guard ship Priya Darshini which was patrolling in the area has spotted it and apprehended for violation of maritime regulations and intruding into Indian territorial waters.
