Amaravati, Jan 19 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday denied the claim of Centre of extending “Special Treatment” to the state in extending funds, and described it as "rubbing salt on wounds".
Addressing the TDP leaders through teleconferencing on “Election Mission 2019”, the Chief Minister said he had been to Delhi 29 times but the Centre sent him back "empty handed" every time.
Mr Naidu made this comment, referring Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh’s comments on Friday that the Centre is giving Special Treatment to AP instead of "Special Category Status" (SCS), while addressing party activists in Kadapa.
“Except the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and YSR Congress party (YSRCP), over 20 non-BJP parties attended the Kolkata rally. Telangana CM KCR and YSRCP president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy did not attend the rally, which indicated that they are with Narendra Modi,” he slammed.
“There is no Federal Front, which the state CM KCR claimed that he has forged. The forging of Federal Front is only to mobilise support to Narendra Modi. The Federal Front is not at all an opposition to the BJP” he criticised. Citing Sabarimala temple incidents in Kerala, he alleged that the BJP is trying to break the tranquility in temples and disturbing harmony.
Referring to the incidents taking place in Karnataka, he said the BJP is indulging in horse trading in Karnataka state to dethrone Kumara Swamy led government to form the BJP government by buying MLAs.
CM Naidu asked his cadre to expose the hatred, being spread by TRS leaders against AP. He alleged that the YSRCP is searching for the candidates, who can spend money in big way, to field in the ensuing elections.
The Chief Minister exhorted TDP cadres to try hard to achieve a historical win in the ensuing elections. He asked the cadre to take the misdeeds of BJP to the people.
He also complimented the TDP activists for holding the 23 death anniversary of TDP founder and former Chief Minister N T Rama Rao in a grand manner.
