Naidu appeals Centre to save 'Amaravati'

Vijayawada, Jul 4 (UNI) Telugu Desam party national president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has urged the Central government to take steps to ensure that Andhra Pradesh capital city should not be shifted to Visakhapatnam from Amaravati.
The agitation, being carried out by the farmers who parted with their lands for the construction of capital city Amaravati, entered into 200 th day on Saturday.
Mr.Naidu and other TDP leaders extended their solidarity to the agitating farmers today. Speaking on the occasion, Naidu exhorted the agitating farmers of the capital region to draw inspiration from freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju and oppose the efforts of Jagan Mohan Reddy headed government for shifting of capital city to Visakhaptanam from Amaravati.
