Nagaland records 18 new Covid cases

Kohima, Oct 24 (UNI) The latest COVID-19 situation in Nagaland, the number has decreased to 18 new cases yesterday, which increased the total number of corona virus infected cases to 31,707 so far and with one more death report, the death toll remained at 679.

According to a Nagaland Health Department bulletin today, among the 18 fresh Covid cases yesterday, the new cases were detected from three districts of Nagaland, seven cases in Dimapur, seven cases in Kohima and four in Phek, taking the total caseload to 31,707. The new cases were detected among 638 samples that were tested yesterday turning a daily positivity rate of 2.82 per cent. Out of 18 new cases 10 were detected from self tests and random tests, seven were among traced contacts and one was from returnees from outside the tests and the new cases were detected out of 638 samples tested in the last 24 hours and the daily positivity rate turned to 2.82 per cent.
