Nagaland Principal Secretary for School Education launches CDAC-SMS system for pensioners

Kohima Jun 20 (UNI) Nagaland Principal Secretary for School Education Menukhol John today launched the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) SMS Service for Pension and GPF Service by intimating 28 pensions and GPF final cases at the Office of the Principal Accountant General (A&E) in Kohima.

In his address in the launching programme, Menukhol John appreciated the dynamic leadership of the A&E officers and with the latest technologies added, the load of the Department has reduced bringing out transparency and well-documented data. He cherished the officers and staffs for transforming and changing the image of the Department into one of the most automated offices in the country and congratulated them for taking up this challenge and overcoming a big milestone to facilitate this kind of service to the people. John mentioned that AG has become paperless in a lot of extend contributing to environment protection as well and progress in bringing the evolutionary change to the Department.

The Principal Accountant General E. Mhonbemo Patton highlighted on Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) SMS Service for Pension and GPF, he mentioned C-DAC is the premier R&D organization of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) for carrying out R&D in IT, Electronics and associated areas. Different areas of C-DAC had originated at different times, many of which came out as a result of the identification of opportunities.
Once the CDAC SMS Service is launched the Pensioners will receive SMS in their Mobile Phone in 3 to 4 stages- On receipt of Pension and GPF documents in this Office, “Our state has problems in road connectivity, courier system, transportation, mailing system which makes us handicapped in many ways but utilizing this opportunity, the introduction of online system technology has brought relief to the departments and the clients,” he added. He also requested to all the partner departments to continue their support and feedback their advices to improve the flow of the online working system.
