Nagaland Govt. on high alert for solution of Naga problem

Kohima, Oct 22 (UNI) The Nagaland Government has indirectly sounded a high alert by instructing all the Deputy Commissioners of respective district not to move out of their place of posting and within their jurisdiction till further order and the Director General of Police (DGP) has cancelled all leaves of Police personnel and asked them to report immediately in their posting places, as the deadline set by the Government of India to resolve the vexed Naga political problem coming closer.
According to official sources, the Government of Nagaland has directed all the Deputy Commissioners and administrative officers to remain in their place of posting and within their jurisdiction till further orders. It has also banned leave and recalled all police personnel on leave except those on medical and maternity leaves already sanctioned.
Nagaland chief secretary’s office in a wireless message has directed that in case of extreme exigency, written permission of the chief secretary be obtained before leaving station through the Commissioner of Nagaland.
