Nagaland Governor flags-off bike rally supporting women empowerment

Kohima, Jun 19 (UNI) Nagaland Governor P B Acharya today flagged of Oneninenla Imsong, on her ride across Nagaland to advocate on the issues of women empowerment at the Raj Bhavan here.

According to a release by the DIPR, informed that Onen stated that her passion for riding the motorcycle was taking her to all the districts of the State to reach out to the women folk to hear their untold stories and to encourage them to stand on their feet. She also hopes to share her stories as well.

Commissioner and secretary to the Nagaland Governor Dinesh Kumar stated that the bike rally by Onen, will capture the imagination of the people of the State, empowering women in demonstrating the essential oneness of our integrated region.
He acknowledged the progress towards gender equality, but also reminds all that more needs to be done towards the cause. The flag off ceremony was attended by family members, friends and well wisher.
