Nagaland Congress to crusade against Govt

Kohima, Sep 20 (UNI) The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC), along with its officials, will crusade against the Nagaland Government for its failure to resolve the Naga political problem.
In a release NPCC President K Therie said the crusade will be launched at Dimapur on September 25 as the Congress has no longer any hope on the Government to resolve the Naga political issue. Secondly, the faith of the Nagas is under threat as it is slowly moving away from Christianity. Many believers do not practice Christianity anymore. They are free to worship idols and follow rituals that are against the religious beliefs.
Therie said “Congress cannot change the Government neither can Congress save Nagaland. Congress can only voice the aspirations of the public. The power lies in the hands of the voters. The people of Nagaland are now considered as a purchasable commodity by the Government of the day. People fear money and power. People have lost the courage to stand for noble cause, ethnic values and credentials.Congress intends to share the pains and fears that the demography of Nagaland may change in due course of time. We also fear that multiple governances will ultimately bring famine, increase goons, robberies and destroy the moral code. As we continue with corruption, the classification between the haves and the haves not and its disparity will choke the life out of citizens. With frustration, mafias and other organised gang wars will emerge.”
