NABARD sanctions Rs 1,931 Cr term loan to APWRDC

Vijayawada, Feb 19 (UNI National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has sanctioned Rs.1,931 crore term loan under the NABARD Infrastructure Development Assistance (NIDA) to Andhra Pradesh Water Resources Development Corporation (APWRDC) for completion of Chintalapudi Lift Irrigation Scheme in West Godavari and Krishna Districts.
The Scheme covers 410 villages of 15 mandals in West Godavari district and 18 mandals of Krishna district.
The project is envisaged for lifting of 53.50 TMC of flood water of River Godavari in 3 stages to provide irrigation to 4.80 lakh acres of ayacut during Kharif season.
