NABARD arranged leadership training for SHG members: TRLM and KVK assisted

Ambassa(Tripura), Feb 12(UNI) In a bid towards women empowerment through financial stability National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development(NABARAD) along with Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission(TRLM) and Krishi Vigyan Kendra(KVK) arranged for a one day leadership training of members from sixty self help groups(SHG) under Salema RD Block.
The programme was arranged at the conference hall of Dhalai KVK at Salema in northern Tripura district of Dhalai here today.
The programme was inaugurated by the Deputy Director of NABARD Amit Das where Director of Dhalai RSETI Madanmohan Chakma, Mission Director of Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission(TRLM) Shanta Kumar Chakma and Senior Scientist of KVK Dr. Pradip Kumar Das remained present.
In the training the guests and faculties explored different aspects of sustainable economic development through using agriculture and allied sectors.
The traditional attachment of women with such practices would enable them to tool the SHGs as a means of financial stability, according to the dignitaries.
Besides, the scopes and opportunities from the part of the government and agencies were also discussed elaborately.
The participants expressed their pleasure over the arrangement and demanded for more such initiatives.
