Mysuru, Aug 8 (UNI) A Mysuru zoo employee, who was looking after an elephant was killed after the tusker attacked him, an official confirmed the news on Saturday.
In a statement issued here today, Zoo Executive Director Ajit Kulakarani said, "The deceased has been identified as Harish, who has been looking after 16-year-old Abhimanyu elephant since a long time. However, on Friday evening the jumbo accidentally attacked him while he was cleaning its wound.
Later, injured Harish was admitted to a private hospital. However, he failed to respond to treatment and died Friday night.
