Chandigarh, Sept 19 (UNI) Indian pair of Saketh Myneni and Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan rallied to beat Australian combination of Alex Bolt and Jacob Grills 4-6, 6-4, 10-8 in the men's doubles first round outing in the $ 162,480 ATP Challenger in Kaohsiung Open (Taiwan) on Thursday.
Myneni/Nedunchezhiyan won 70 points in comparision to 62 by their opponents.
In men's singles, 10th seeded Sasikumar Mukund of India was defeated by Australian Marc Polmans in straight sets 6-4, 6-1 in 69 minutes in the second round match. Mukund earned $1560 and five ATP points.
Mukund fired five aces and committed one double fault. He saved three out of seven break points.
The Indian player won 47 points. Polmans recorded seven aces and five double fault. He saved four out of four break points and won four out of seven break points. Polmans won 67 points.
