My parents would be proud of me: Karun Nair

Chennai, Dec 19 (UNI) Karun Nair, who shattered a number of records en route his triple hundred against England at the Chepauk stadium here this evening, believes that his parents would be proud of him.
Nair, who became the second Indian batsman after Virender Sehwag to hit a triple ton in the longest format of the game, said after the fourth day's play,"The pressure was off after the first hundred. I was just playing my shots after that. My dad watches most of my games. There was no extra pressure on me. They should be proud of me now."
The 25-year-old further termed his knock as his best ever knock saying, ""It's the best knock I have played in my life. There were many situations in the middle - I had to play differently with Rahul, Ashwin and Jadeja. They kept pegging me on and am thankful to them."
