New Delhi, June 25 (UNI) Actress Kiara Advani, who made her acting debut in 2014 with 'Fugly', and then made a mark with her performance in films like 'M S Dhoni: The Untold Story' and the Telugu political drama 'Bharat Ane Nenu', says 'it’s extremely motivating that my career graph has been an upward one and I am working hard to keep it that way'.

Talking to UNI, Kiara, who has recently come up with web series ‘Lust Stories’ and movie ‘Kalank’ which is on the way said her career graph is on a positive note.

'This year has started on a very positive note, with my debut Telugu film 'Bharat Ane Nenu' becoming a blockbuster and the critical appreciation and overwhelming response for my performance in Lust Stories,' Kiara said replying to questions by email.

'I am fully charged to keep it up. It’s extremely motivating. The graph has been an upward one and I am working hard to keep it that way,' the actress said.

Asked what difference she found between working for the big screen and on a web portal, Kiara said, 'According to me a film is a film and regardless of the platform on which it is released, the intention and hard work will be the same. The goal is to entertain the audience.'

Whether this is a good time for an actress in the Bollywood industry, Kiara said it’s an exciting time for female actors.

'There are films that are voicing the issues and opinions from a female perspective and the audience is coming to watch these films making them commercially viable,' she said.

Kiara, who is creating a niche for herself in the industry and recently did a superhit south movie ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ with Mahesh Babu, when asked whether there were any pressures working with big stars, replied that working with a superstar is a dream.

'To be accepted and loved by the Telugu audience when you’re in the same frame as Mahesh Babu is a challenge for sure. It’s extremely overwhelming to see the kind of love that they have given me for my role in 'Bharat Ane Nenu'. I feel responsible now to live up to it and ensure I make my South Indian fans happy and proud of everything that I do,' the actress said.

Kiara, who has signed another Telugu film with Ram Charan, when asked if she is planning to shift to South cinema, said, 'Let’s just say I would love to be a pan-India entertainer.'

On how was it working with Producer-Director Karan Johar in 'Lust Stories', the 25-year-old actress said, 'I think as an actor I have grown a lot while working with Karan on 'Lust Stories'. It’s a dream for any actor to be directed by Karan Johar! There is so much to learn from him.'

'This is an experience that is so special and has literally strengthened my foundation as an actor. I am really grateful that he gave me this opportunity and saw the potential in me to give me a role like Megha. He saw it in me before everyone else really did and he was so sure of the response that I would get even before all the reviews started coming out,' she said.

Revealing what she keeps in mind while signing a script, Kiara said, 'When I hear a script I only listen to it as an audience, if I want to watch the film then I know I want to be a part of it. While everything else matters it’s important for me to connect to the subject.'

Asking what her success mantra is, the actress said, 'Nothing is impossible, dream big, work hard and never give up.'
