MVA to contest Municipal Council elections jointly: Pratibha Dhanorkar

Chandrapur, Nov 7(UNI) The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance comprising the Congress, Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar faction) and Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray group) will contest the upcoming municipal council elections in Maharashtra's Chandrapur district jointly, announced Congress MP Pratibha Dhanorkar on Friday.
Following the announcement of municipal council and nagar panchayat elections across Maharashtra, all political parties have stepped up their preparations.
On Friday, senior Congress leaders held interviews in Chandrapur to shortlist candidates for the post of municipal council president.
