Muzaffarpur fire claims lives of five from same family

Muzaffarpur, Nov 15 (UNI) At least five members of a family were burnt alive after a massive fire broke out early this morning at their home in Motipur Nagar Parishad’s Ward No. 13 on Neta Road.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Suchitra Kumari told the reporters, “The incident occurred around midnight in Ward No. 13 of the Motipur locality. The fire, suspected to have been triggered by a short circuit, engulfed the building’s third floor while the occupants were asleep.”
The house belonged to PDS shopkeeper Lalan Kumar. The victims include Lalan Kumar (35), his wife Pooja Kumari (30), his mother Sushila Devi (60), and his daughters Srishti Kumari (7) and Goli Kumari (2).
