New Delhi, Apr 18 (UNI) Mumbai Indians posted a total of 168/5 runs against Delhi Capitals in the IPL match here at the Feroze Shah Kotla stadium on Thursday.
After opting to bat first, Mumbai got to off to a good start as both Rohit Sharma (30) and Quinton de Kock (35) shared a 57-runs-partnership, but a poor shot selection by Rohit gave a reason to home team to celebrate as Amit Mishra dismissed Rohit.
Later, de Kock joined by Ben Cutting, but Cutting soon walked to pavilion. Axar Patel trapped him in front of the wicket and departed on a score of Two runs.
Quinton de Kock too couldn't manage to stay on the crease for a long as he was run out. De Kock continued to run from the runners-end but Suryakumar wasn't interested in taking the run. Rabada, at point, immediately threw the ball to Pant. Pant threw the ball to Axar, who did the rest.
De Kock scored 35 runs off 27 balls, with the help of Two fours and Two sixes.
However, Krunal Pandya and Hardik Pandya both added 54 runs off 26 balls for the fifth wicket and took DC to a decent score, but Hardik was dismissed by Rabada strikes. Hardik scored 32 runs off 15 balls, while Krunal scored 37 runs off 26 balls and remained unbeaten.
Suryakumar Yadav scored 26 runs off 27 balls as Kagiso Rabada sent to pavilion, while Kieron Pollard didn't get chance to open his account.
For DC Kagiso Rabada took two wickets, while Axar Patel and Amit Mishra took one wicket each.
