Mumbai girl Komal Chandel crowned IIFT Miss Wow 2016

New Delhi, Jun 13 (UNI) Mumbai girl Komal Chandel was crowned as Miss Wow 2016 by former Femina Miss India Koyal Rana.
The contest, which saw 14 participants competing against each other for the coveted Miss Wow title, was held in Surat.
Contestants were judged on the basis of their attitude, intelligence, the way their carry themselves, presentation skills and ability to answer questions.
Miss Wow is a beauty competition, which was started in 2014 by the International Institute of Fashion and Technology (IIFT).
On the occasion, Ms Chandel said, ''It feels at the top of the world, when you are crowned Miss Wow. Yes, my efforts to this journey have added to my unforgettable moments in my life. If the start was so enlightening, then I am sure there is lot more in store."
The first runner up for the contest, Nupoor Tailor said, "Winning Miss Wow is an amazing achievement. It's not just about the competition, but about a lot of experiences that I had during the preparation of the competition, which made me feel more confident about myself.''
The second runner up was Rashi Shah.
Mukesh Maheshwari, Director of IIFT, said "Looking at the success of Miss Wow contest in Gujarat and the increased number of participants year after year, we at IIFT are aiming to take this contest at the national level in the near future. Not just Gujarat, but women from all over the nation, have a right to take part in these competitions."
