New Delhi, Apr 12 (UNI) With an aim to strengthen defence ties and enhance interoperability among the neighbourhood countries to ensure effective peace keeping operations, the four-nation military exercise ‘Shantir Ogrosena which started on April 4 has culminated at Bangabandhu Senanibas (BBS) in Dhaka on Monday.
Military troops from India, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and the host country Bangladesh participated in this exercise while observers from USA, UK, Russia, Turkey, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Singapore were sent to witness this exercise.
The aim of the exercise was to strengthen defence ties and enhance interoperability amongst neighbourhood countries to ensure effective peace keeping operations. The Armies of all participating nations shared their wide experiences and enhanced their situational awareness through robust information exchange platforms.
