Mukul slams Mamata for Bhatpara clash

Kolkata, Jun 20 (UNI) Reacting to today's Bhatpara clash in which two persons were killed and five injured, BJP leader Mukul Roy accused Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of being "responsible" for the incident.

"People of Bhatpara Lok Sabha constituency reposed their faith in Arjun Singh this Lok Sabha election. The people of Bhatpara also returned his son Pawan Singh to the Assembly. She cannot accept this mandate. That is why she is trying to disturb Bhatpara repeatedly, " Mr Roy commented.
At least two persons were shot dead and five sustained bullet and bomb wounds in a fresh bout of the clash between rival gangs in North 24 Parganas' volatile Bhatpara area just before the inauguration of a new police station.
