Muharram commemorated in Aurangabad

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Aug 9 (UNI) On occasion of Muharram on Tuesday, the members of the Sunni and Shia communities took out separate processions here to mark the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain, the grandson of Prophet Mohammad, at Karbala.
Notably, during past two years, due to Covid pandemic Muharram processions were not taken out due to restrictions imposed by the government.
In Aurangabad city, the members of the Sunni community took out around 100 various processions from different Muslim-dominated localities to the City Chowk area today.
