Mudra scheme promoting women entrepreneurs : Smriti Irani

Lucknow, Nov 16 (UNI) Union Textile Minister Smriti Jubin Irani emphasised that there is no gender inequality in Mudra scheme of government, that is why women in more numbers are becoming entrepreneurs now, she said here on Friday.
In her keynote addressing the minister she said, figures garnered since 2014 to last month endorses that female entrepreneurs are getting benefitted with this scheme in large numbers across the country.
She further said, "It means a housewife who never sought any financial help from her house is now having courage enough to walk to banks with her own business plans and getting loans easily and the banks are convinced that such housewives would be repaying their loans therefore lending institutions are convinced."
