Kolkata, Sep 14 (UNI) Elaborating on the spheres India is missing out, Ajay Kumar, Secretary Department of Defence, on Friday said there is a huge scope for MSMEs in defence production.
" There has been a shift to public private partnership in defence production, unlike before when the defence production was restricted to government PSUs, " Mr Kumar added.
It was time when India claimed its share in the massive global defence spend, in which USD100 billion was spent on arm, he said adding to boost participation of private companies several steps have been taken by the government.
