MP Santokh Chaudhary writes to Union Petroleum Minister on CNG crisis in Jalandhar

Jalandhar, Aug 17 (UNI) Member of Parliament from Jalandhar Lok Sabha constituency Santokh Singh Chaudhary on Saturday wrote to Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan raising the matter of sudden stoppage of supply of CNG in Jalandhar.
He wrote that due to this, all the approximately 1500 autos plying in the city have come to halt as they run only on CNG.
Further, he stated, “The residents of the city have been deprived of the services of a pollution free mode of transport and the poor drivers of their only source of income. The families of the auto drivers are finding it extremely difficult to make their ends meet every day. With supply of the gas being stopped, the public transport in the city has come to a standstill.”
