MP: Man hacks down 8 of kin, commits suicide

Chhindwara (MP), May 29 (UNI) A newly wed tribal man in Madhya Pradesh's Chhindwara district reportedly hacked to death eight of his family members, including his wife, before hanging himself.
According to police sources, on Tuesday, the accused committed suicide in Mahuljhir police station area by hanging from a tree after hacking to death his family members with an axe in Bodal kachhar village.
Police took the bodies into their custody and sent them for post-mortem.
Apart from the new couple, those killed were the accused's mother, brother, sister-in-law, 16-year-old sister, 5-year-old nephew, and a 4-year-old and 1.5-year-old nieces.
The accused got married on May 21. According to the police, the accused was mentally disturbed. The reasons for the murder could not be known. A case was registered in the matter.
