MP in wintry grip

Bhopal, Dec 5 (UNI) Icy northern winds were experienced on Thursday in the Madhya Pradesh capital, Gwalior, Rewa, Tikamgarh, Khajuraho, Damoh, Pachmarhi and numerous other places within the state.
Umaria was the coldest at 6.4 degrees Celsius. Corresponding figures were Rewa 7.4; Gwalior, Khajuraho and Sidhi 8 each; Naugaon 8.5; Tikamgarh 9; Satna 9.2; Pachmarhi 9.8; Jabalpur 10 and Damoh 10.8.

“No fog was reported. The mercury might decline further during the next 24 hours,” senior meteorologist PK Saha told UNI here.

Bhopal, Jan 22 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh will develop into a logistics hub in the near future – owing to its geographical location – and that shall help the state emerge as a warehousing nerve centre, Chief Minister Kamal Nath averred on Wednesday and sought active participation of prospective investors.
On day two of the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting in Davos, renowned industrialists and capitalists discussed – with the Chief Minister – their investment plans in allied emerging sectors of information technology, hospitality and tourism. They expressed confidence in Mr Nath’s leadership plus vision and said that Madhya Pradesh will soon become an economic force.
