MP Govt’s ambitious plan to acquaint young minds with the Mahatma

Bhopal, Sep 19 (UNI) Father of the Nation Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi’s philosophy, principles and vision have to be disseminated from dwelling to dwelling and the primary objective should be to make the younger generation comprehend and adopt the Mahatma’s personality and accomplishments, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath averred on Thursday.
Addressing – at Mantralaya – a committee constituted for various activities being organised by the state government on the Mahatma’s 150th birth anniversary, the Chief Minister said, “Gandhiji’s views have been ever relevant to our country and will continue to be so. In the contemporary era, it is vital that we spread his principles and the values established by him. We cannot cover his towering persona within the space of a year. For this, permanent programmes have to be prepared. Our activities must not be limited to television and publication in newspapers. We have to pay special attention that his outlook and its relevance reach the youth.”
In the near future, another such meeting shall take place for presenting the outline vis-a-vis conducting perpetual functions on Gandhiji’s religious harmony and his thoughts on secularism plus national unity, an official release said.More UNI AC
