MP govt approves 5th pay scale for educators

Bhopal, Feb 8 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh government today sanctioned payment of the fifth pay scale and arrears to teachers and other employees of educational institutions or balwadis, aided by the Scheduled Castes Welfare Department, with an effect from January 1, 1996 in five annual instalments.
A Cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan here, decided to provide stipends to all post-graduate students taking admission in government or autonomous medical colleges as “in-service candidates,” an official release said.
It was also decided that bonds worth Rs 30 lakh and Rs 20 lakh respectively for five years’ mandatory government service in tribal areas would have to be signed by in-service post-graduate candidates and three years by degree course students.
