MP deals crippling blow to COVID-19; 16.41 lakh vaccine shots on single day

Bhopal, June 21 (UNI) Even as Madhya Pradesh is emerging victorious in the epic war against the ‘millennium scourge’, a mega immunisation campaign – covering all 52 districts – took place smoothly on Monday involving as many as 7,000 centres where a whopping 16.41 lakh citizens were vaccinated, which is approximately 20 per cent of the total vaccination accomplished in the country on this day!
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan – after paying his respects at the Ma Pitambara shrine in Datia District – launched the drive at Parasari village, then Bhopal’s Annanagar and Sehore’s Piplani village. The veteran leader administered an oath with the noble objective of motivating commoners. The two-pronged success mantra comprised the senior politician’s ceaseless endeavours coupled with the people-participation model, indeed a sterling example of ‘naikam chakram paribhramayati’.
