MP CM pays tributes to Rajiv

Bhopal, May 20 (UNI) Describing erstwhile premier Rajiv Gandhi as the progenitor of the country’s computer revolution, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath on Monday said that citizens would always remember Mr Gandhi’s contribution and martyrdom.
Reminiscing about the former prime minister on the eve of his death anniversary, Mr Nath said, “In the post-Independence period, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru laid the foundation of modern India for rebuilding the country. Mr Gandhi set the understructure so that the nation could enter the 21st century with capability and determination. He strengthened the path towards digital India and that translated into comprehensive employment for crores of youths. Historic decisions vis-a-vis Panchayati Raj, enhancing youngsters’ participation in democracy and reducing the suffrage age to 18 resulted in decentralising power. Mr Gandhi toiled for all-round development of every segment.”
