Mozambique cyclone claims more lives as death toll mounts to 417

Beira, Mar 23 (UNI) The death toll in Mozambique has climbed to 417 after a cyclone devastated swathes of the southern African country, flooding thousands of square kilometres (miles), Land and Environment Minister Celso Correia said on Saturday, as the United Nations warned of the risk of further flooding
"There is a very large impact on the affected areas, and through drones we have been receiving preliminary data, and unfortunately we now have 417 deaths and 1,528 injured," said Correia.
He further said that the numbers are expected to rise as the disaster-hit area was of 3,000 square kilometers.
