MOU signed between Thakur Ram Singh Historical Research Institute, Neri and the Department of History, Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar

Hamirpur, Jan 14 (UNI) In order to strengthen academic research, history, and cultural studies, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Thakur Ram Singh Historical Research Institute, Neri, Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, and the Department of History, Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar, Anand (Gujarat), during a dignified ceremony at the Vice-Chancellor's office at the university.
On behalf of the Thakur Ram Singh Historical Research Institute, Neri, the agreement was signed by the Institute's Director, Dr. Chetram Garg, and Dr. Rakesh Kumar Sharma, Editor of Itihas Diwakar, while the university was represented by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Niranjanbhai Patel, Registrar Dr. Bhailal Parsotambhai Patel, and Prof. Vasant Patel, Head of the Department of History. This marked the formal beginning of their collaboration.
Under the MoU, both institutions will prioritise joint research projects, seminars, symposia, and workshops, joint publications, and coordinated research in the fields of history, culture, and regional studies, particularly focusing on the historical heritage, folk traditions, socio-cultural development, and regional history of Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat, as well as other parts of West and North India.
