Motorcycle rider robbed of valuables worth Rs 45,000 in Nanded

Nanded, Dec 18 (UNI) A motorcycle rider was allegedly robbed of valuables collectively worth Rs 45,000 by four armed unidentified robbers here behind the court.
Rahul Bhimrao Chaudante (30), resident of Mudkhed, was riding on his motorcycle along with his friend towards Hingoli Gate on Monday evening at around 2000 hours when four unidentified men brandishing a sword stopped them behind the district court building and asked them to hand over all money by threatening to kill them.
Chaudante was robbed of Rs 6,010 in cash along with two mobile handsets and took away the motorcycle, police said.
Then, Chaudante and his friend approached the Wazirabad police, informed about the incident and lodged a complaint in regards to the crime against the four accused.
Immediately, a police team, led by deputy superintendent of police Abhijit Phaske, rushed to the spot but the accused had fled by then.
On Tuesday, a squad of the Local Crime Branch of the police searched for the accused at various places but they could not be traced out, sources added.
