Mother India idol in MP capital

Bhopal, Aug 13 (UNI) A 25-ft-high bronze idol of Bharat Mata – a source of fiery inspiration for not only those noble personages who struggled for the nation’s Independence but also those gallant officers and men of the Indian Armed Forces who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty – is scheduled to be unveiled on Independence Day by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at the city’s Shaurya Smarak at 0830 hrs.
The image, which stands atop an approximately ten-ft-high lotus pedestal, is expected to particularly inspire the younger generation vis-à-vis imbibing the glorious values and traditions that comprise this country’s hallmark.
State Urban Development and Housing Minister Bhupendra Singh plus Culture, Tourism and Spirituality Minister Usha Thakur will be among those in attendance, it was officially learnt.
