Mother Dairy raises milk prices by Re 1

New Delhi, Jul 15 (UNI) The leading dairy Mother Dairy today raised the prices of the key polypack milk variants by Re 1 in Delhi and NCR, with effect from July 16.
However, the prices of bulk vended milk (BVM), commonly referred to as token milk and cow milk, will remain unchanged, the company said in a statement.
Last time, the price was revised in May, 2014. Similarly, the company has also increased its farm prices by about 7 – 8 per cent in last one year while the effective consumer price hike is not more than three per cent.
As a responsible organisation, Mother Dairy has always attempted to strike a right balance between the consumers’ interest and the milk producers’ interest. The company believes in giving competitive and remunerative price to farmers to ensure sustainability of dairying, while ensuring availability of safe milk for consumers, it added.
