More than 20,000 people vaccinated against flu within week

Doha, Oct 22 (UNI) The Ministry of Public Health MOPH called on all citizens and residents aged six months and older and people who are most vulnerable to complications of influenza to obtain a vaccine for seasonal flu.
Qatar News Agency reports that the Ministry recommended that vaccination should include people with chronic diseases such as diabetes, asthma, heart and lung disease, kidney disease, spleen and cancer patients, the elderly over the age of 65, children between the ages of 6 months and five years, pregnant women and health workers.
The Ministry said that 20879 people from all age groups were vaccinated with seasonal flu until Sunday, a week after the joint vaccination campaign launched in cooperation with Hamad Medical Corporation and the Primary Health Care Corporation under the slogan "Stop the Flu", and will continue until next April.
