More recoveries than fresh cases on 2nd consecutive day in Delhi, case count over 97 k

New Delhi, Jul 4 (UNI) On the second consecutive day, national capital on Saturday registered higher number of Covid recoveries in a single day as compared to the fresh infections recorded in the same duration.

Delhi in the past 24 hours registered 2,505 new Covid cases , taking city's tally past 97 k mark, while 2,632 patients were cured and discharged during the same period.

The total confirmed cases in the capital have surged to 97,200, the health bulletin of the state said on Saturday night.

On a positive note, 68,256 people have so far recovered in the city after 2,632 patients were cured and discharged in the past one day.

Meanwhile, fatalities count of the national capital due to the covid contagion has jumped past 3k mark, with the figure now at 3,004, the government data said.

Cases under active medical supervision have again witnessed a slight decrease in numbers and at present are 25,940 across the city.

As per government data , 16,004 patients with mild or no symptoms as per government guidelines are under home isolation as of now.

Containment zones across the city at present are 448, the bulletin said.

As many as 6,20,368 tests have been done in the city, it added.
