Monthly academic monitoring in Haryana schools

Chandigarh, Sep 10 (UNI) Haryana School Education Department has allotted various districts to its officials for monthly academic monitoring.
While giving this information, a spokesman for the department said that this monitoring would lay emphasis on the academic progress, which would be evaluated by the results of student's assessment test, such as the half yearly and annual exams.
The other aims of this monitoring are infrastructure requirement including a check on condemned buildings, enrollment status of the schools, reviewing 'skill passbook' and its progress, observation of 'joyful Saturday' and a review of the various facilities provided under the Right to Education Act. Proper execution of various academic activities like the conduction of programmes related to promotion of English, promotion of science, mathematics, strengthening of 'Eco-Clubs', increasing adolescent education, legal literacy, 'road safety clubs', 'quiz clubs', promotion of cultural activities, status of science laboratories and others are also a part of this scheme.
