Monsoon mayhem claims 150 lives, damage put at Rs 21448.3 Cr in HP

Shimla, Jul17(UNI) The South West Monsoon has claimed as many as 150 lives in Himachal Pradesh and damage to property due to this monsoon mayhem is estimated at Rs 2144.82 Cr in the state.
According to a government statement, 25 People died in rain-related incidents in Shimla, 18 in Kangra, 17 in Mandi, 16 in Sirmuar, 15 in Chamba, 14 in Solan, 12 in Kullu, 10 in Bilaspur, eight in Una, Seven in Lahaul Spiti, four each in Hamipur and Kinnaur.
State Government claimed that it has disbursed as many as 58 Cr as ex gratia assistance to families of persons died in different mishaps.
