Mohit, Suraj, Dalwinder, Ranjeet enter men's singles semis

Chandigarh, Jun 19 (UNI) Top seed Mohit Mayur of Tamil Nadu, fourth seed and qualifier Suraj Prabodh of Karnataka, third seed and qualifier Dalwinder Singh of Punjab and second seed V M Ranjeet of Tami Nadu moved into men's singles semi-finals of the Rs two lakh CLTA-AITA National Ranking Tennis Championships at the Sector 10 Tennis Stadium, here on Wednesday.
Former men's National Champion Dalwinder Singh defeated Jagmeet Singh of Haryana in straight sets.
Dalwinder won the first set without getting much resistance 6-2. In the second set, both players displayed high quality game. Finally, Dalwinder got his momentum and used his experience with his powerful ground stroke to close the set and match 6-4.
Former Davis Cupper V M Ranjeet blanked Puru Upadhyay 6-0, 6-0 in another Quarterfinal men’s singles match. Top seed Mohit Mayur overpower from Neeraj Yashpaul of Gujarat 6-0, 6-3. Fourth seed Suraj Prabodh terminated the challenge of Hardeep Singh Sandhu of Punjab in straight sets 6-3, 7-5.
Qualifier Lakshmi Reddy upset women's former National Champions and sixth seed Prerna Bhambri of Delhi in straight sets 6-2, 6-4. Qualifier Salsa Aher of Maharastra also advanced into semifinals of women’s singles . Salsa defeated Bhargavi Kalaga in one-sided match 6-1, 6-2.
Fourth seed Sarvaya Shivani and Kashish Bhatia also advanced into last four in women's singles.
In the women's doubles quarterfinals Salsa Aher and Kaavya Sawhney upset to seed Avika Sagwal and Yubrani Banerjee in straight sets 6-3, 6-4. Calvin Golmei and Megh Bhargav Patel defeated Alok Aradhya and Naesar Jewoor 4-6, 6-2, 10-5. Mohit Mayur and Oges Theyjo J advanced into men's doubles.
