New Delhi, Jun 4 (UNI) While wearing a mask is mandatory for all employees, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued a 40-point guidelines for its employees on working in office during Corona times that includes allowing entry only to asymptomatic persons into buildings, prohibiting gatherings of more than five persons and staggering work hours.
Amid a spike in the number of Covid-19 cases in the National Capital, many officers of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare themselves testing positive, resulting in the issuance of the guidelines after it was found that at times social distancing was not being maintained in the office premises.
According to the guidelines, issued by Mr Amit Kumar, Under Secretary to the Government of lndia, desks and chairs are to be arranged in a zigzag pattern so that no two employees sit directly across each other. "Work from home is to be facilitated in case of any emergent situation," it adds.
