Modi may set another record of longest tenure by securing 2029 mandate: Shanta Kumar

Dharamshala, June 10 (UNI) Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and erstwhile union minister Shanta Kumar on Wednesday expressed confidence that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would secure another mandate in the 2029 Lok Sabha elections, enabling him to set a record that may remain unmatched for decades.
Modi has already set a record by the longest tenure yet by any Prime Minister in India overtaking the tenure of India's first PM Jawaharlal Nehru.
Addressing the media, Shanta Kumar noted that while India's population was around 36 crore during Nehru's tenure, it has now crossed 142 crore.
