Lucknow, Oct 15 (UNI) BJP leader Syed Ghayorul Hasan Rizvi, who is also the chairman of the National Commission of Minorities, said that the Modi government provided basic facilities to the girl child in 308 districts across the country, particularly those belonging to the minority community.
In a press statement issued here on Monday, Rizvi said the 'Jan Vikas Karyakram' launched by the Prime Minister, for the poor and socially disadvantaged persons has proved to be a boon for the poor and has immensely contributed in their social and economic empowerment.
He said that under the programme, hostels and ITI are being set up in remote areas for the educational empowerment of the girls by imparting them training in skill development. He also said that earlier these facilities were not available in 308 districts.
