Hyderabad, Sep 17 (UNI) Union Minister for Coal and Mines and Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy announced that the Modi government, now in its third term, has completed 100 days in office, moving steadily toward the ambitious goals of "Vikasit Bharat Sankalp 2047."
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Reddy emphasised that the government had met all the targets set for these initial hundred days and would maintain the same momentum throughout its tenure.
Reflecting on the past decade under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Reddy said, "We have achieved unprecedented milestones in independent India's history, thanks to Prime Minister Modi's initiatives. Looking ahead, we will work with renewed enthusiasm to position India alongside the world’s developed nations."
In these first 100 days, the Modi government has invested Rs 15 lakh crore into key sectors like agriculture and infrastructure. Reddy highlighted several critical reforms aimed at improving the lives of the poor, middle class, and backward sections of society while also making strides to create a business-friendly environment, particularly through technological advancement.
Agriculture Sector Prime Minister Modi’s first decision after assuming office for the third time was to release Rs 20,000 crore to 9.3 crore farmers as part of the 17th installment of the PM Kisan Nidhi. The government has also launched the 'AgriSure' scheme with a Rs 750 crore fund to support rural industries and agricultural start-ups through technological innovation.
In a bid to minimise losses in agriculture, the government has established granaries with a capacity of 3 lakh metric tonnes for wheat storage. Additionally, the minimum support price (MSP) for the 2024–25 Kharif season has been increased, benefiting farmers by Rs 2 lakh crore.
New initiatives such as the Rs 2,000 crore "Mission Mausam" aim to tackle the effects of climate change on farming, while the 'Digital Agriculture Mission' seeks to introduce modern farming practices through technology. To strengthen the fisheries sector, five integrated aqua parks have been established, and Rs 12,100 crore has been sanctioned for the Polavaram irrigation project.
