Modi govt bent upon privatising PSUs: Rahul

Bhilai Nagar, Apr 20 (UNI) Alleging that Modi Government was bent upon privatising public sector undertakings (PSUs), Congress President Rahul Gandhi today assured people that if Congress was voted to power at Centre it would stop move for privatisation of Bhilai Steel Plant.
Questioning Modi Government’s tenure in which PSUs are weakening and continuously incurring losses, he said “Modi Government is attacking all public sector undertakings in its bid to privatise them.” He said ‘If Congress government is formed at the Centre it will not allow privatisation of Bhilai Steel Plant; rather pay of the workers here would be revised and labourers would be given full rights.’
Launching scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said “Modi has shown dreams to the poor.We cannot transfer Rs 15 lakh to account but we can certainly give Rs 72 thousand which will go directly into bank accounts of women. NYAY Yojana will benefit directly to 25 crore people. This will carry out surgical strike on poverty”. Gandhi also said “We will take out money from pocket of Anil Ambani and give it to the poor”.
Mr Gandhi said “Wherever you go and speak word ‘Chowkidar’, you will get reply 'Chor Hai'. Elections were
held in Chhattisgarh but we never talked ‘Mann Ki Baat’. We have started working. We have interacted with lakhs of people including farmers, youth women to know what are their grievances and what they expect. Farmers asked for loan waiver. We sought 10 days of time. After formation of our government we waived off farm loans within two days. Modiji went on telling lie. But we will do what we can”.
He said that two budgets would be formed in the country-National Budget and Budget for farmers. In addition to this, youth will be recruited to fill up 20 lakh posts in Government Departments, he said, adding that 10 lakh recruitments would be conducted only in Panchayats. Youth will not have to seek permission for industries, he said, adding that ‘Gabbar Singh’ Tax would be scrapped and GST would be simplified.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu, Cabinet Minister Ravindra Choubey, Rajya
Sabha MP Chhaya Verma and Congress General Secretary Motilal Vora too addressed the public meeting. In
spite of storm and rains before public meeting, workers enthusiastically gathered in the venue in large
