Moderate rains brings respite to farmers in Marathwada

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Jul 21 (UNI) Moderate rains lashed almost all eight districts of the Marathwada region on Sunday, bringing cheer on the faces of the farmers, who were worried about the survival of their kharif crops due to scarcity of rainfall .According to the official sources,around 10.20 mm and 13.78 mm rainfall recorded during the last 48 hours.
The rains hit Aurangabad, Jalna, Nanded, Latur, Hingoli and Osmanabad districts while Beed district not received any major rainfall during the last two days, reports said.
However, still there was need of heavy downpour across the region to fill up water resources which ran dry to the drought situation experienced since last couple of days.
